Starting as a Management Trainee in Supply Chain, he eventually served as Manufacturing Manager for Soaps and Factory HR Manager, demonstrating versatility in operations, human resources, and project management. Notable achievements include driving a 30% improvement in Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and implementing significant factory upgrades.

In 2013, he transitioned to the heavy industries sector as Head of Production at Abul Khair Steel, the largest automated rolling mill in Bangladesh. During his tenure, he doubled plant productivity and led a transformative revamping project worth BDT 400 million, cementing the organization’s position as the top rebar producer in the country.

Since 2016, Md Al Kashem has been a pivotal leader at Coats, one of the world’s leading industrial thread manufacturers. Rising from Cluster Manufacturing Director to Managing Director, he has spearheaded large-scale factory expansions, renewable energy initiatives, and award-winning safety practices. Under his leadership, Coats Bangladesh achieved a 50% capacity enhancement within three years and became a benchmark for health and safety standards globally.
